8vo - 276 pages, charts, maps, line drawings, photos. Artfully disguised steamers and sailing ships were to become familiar in the harbours of Berehaven and Queenstown. Armament and crew were as varied as the ships themselves, the former consisting of 3pdr., 6pdr. and 12pdr, quick-firing guns, depth chargers, machine guns and rifles. The officers and men were representative of every type of seaman from the Royal Navy, both active and retired R.N.R, R.N.V.R., merchant seamen, fishermen and peacetime yachtsmen. Dj chipped on top, bottom and spine, former owners name and date neatly printed in ink on outside front end paper.
