This copy is Double Inscribed by the author and double signed to Ted Bullock as 'The Author' and to Ellen as 'Reg' on the front inside endpaper and dated 31.March.1966. As of July 2013, this is the ONLY signed copy currently on-line. This book offers extraordinary detail of the campaigns fought by the Marquis of Granby's British force with Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick's army in the German theatre (1756-1763) with historical background from 1748. The author, Sir Reginald Savory, was a career soldier with the British Indian Army (1914-50), who commanded an Indian brigade and division in Africa and Burma during World War 2 (at Galipoli in WW1 as a Lieutenant).
